FAQ

Where is your office located?

4589 Mayfield Road South Euclid, OH 44121

The office is in a cozy brick house, situated on the first floor. You can access the office through the front entrance, and ample parking is adjacent to the rear entrance.

What are your office hours?
I have flexible office hours and try my best to accommodate your schedule.
How long is the typical session?
Typical sessions are between 50 and 60 minutes. The initial session is longer because it consists of gathering a lot of history and information about you.
Do you take insurance?
I accept Ohio Medicare and supplemental secondary insurance.

Increasing bureaucratic demands of working with insurance companies have led me to focus my full energy on my clients and their needs. However, I am an out-of-network provider in some cases, and my fees are reimbursable.

I will be happy to provide statements with a diagnosis code to submit to your insurance company if you desire. Please contact your insurance company to determine if and how you can be reimbursed for out-of-network mental health providers. I do have a sliding fee schedule.

Please call me at (401) 316-0433 to discuss your situation.

What happens when I call the phone number you listed?
If I am in session when you call, you can leave a message on our confidential voice mail system. Please let me know when I can call you back. I will call you back as soon as possible. We check voice mail throughout the day.
What is the purpose of your free initial phone session?

The connection between therapist and client is vital for success. The initial phone session is an excellent opportunity for us to meet. During this brief consultation, I begin to understand who you are and what brings you to therapy. At the same time, you can determine if we will work well together.

If we decide to go forward, we will set up an intake session. At this session, we will discuss your needs and how I can help you.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. I offer in-person, video, and telephone sessions. COVID-19 guidelines are followed for in-person sessions.
With whom do you work?

I work with men and women of diverse backgrounds who are seeking individual counseling. I also work with couples where grief and aging issues are beginning to affect their relationship and with families coping with aging and caregiving challenges.

How long will therapy take?

The length of time depends upon your unique problems, needs, and goals. Meaningful and lasting change takes an investment of time and effort.

As therapy progresses, we will discuss your progress and adjust our work together as needed. My goal is always to help you achieve your goals, which is the most crucial objective.

What is therapy like with you?

Clients say that I listen and that they feel heard and understood. They appreciate my empathy and supportive style.

I am an active therapist. I believe that it is my responsibility to use my knowledge and experience to provide insight and new perspectives.
